The 7th annual Soroptimist International of Sequim Garden Show
was a huge success. We raised approximately $14,000.00 to be
used for Scholarships, Medical Loan Closet, Community Aid, First
Teacher, Habitat for Humanity, Kids Irrigation Day, Little League,
Museum & Arts Center, Olympic Theater Arts, Rose House and
Boys and Girls Club. Each and every one of you made this possible.
The part I enjoy most about being involved in this event is
getting to know each of you a little better. It is three days
of hard work and many, many hours of preparation. I would like
to name a few Flower Power people who gave many hours to this
project.

The Garden Walk by Vision Nursery. |
Kathy Purcell – She is our Steel Magnolia. Always there
making sure the advertising was completed, the art work done,
and of course we all know she was born with a computer in her
crib. I believe she invented the Internet not Al Gore. The Garden
show Web site was a blooming masterpiece. Also taking pictures
of each vendor. Thank you, Kathy.

Kathy Purcell & Sally Sue Barry. |
Kate Creasey – The Magnificent Mum that worked with
Kathy Purcell to make sure our name and faces were where
in the news. Thank you, Kate. |

|
Megan
O’Donnell – Our primrose blooming with new ideas
and persistence. She recruited new major sponsors and new
advertising ventures. Megan is our primrose that keeps blooming
and has just begun. Watch out next year as we all benefit
from her leadership. Thank you, Megan.

Megan O'Donnell and Donna Worden sell raffle tickets.

Jane
Manzer – Our Money Tree. Jane was responsible for our
budget, collecting money, paying bills and keeping us on track.
This tends to be a thankless job, however one of the most important
jobs of the Committee. Jane makes this look effortless. Thank
you, Jane.
