AREA MEETING
  Our 2005 Area Meeting, sponsored by the PA Jet Set, was held at the Downriggers Conference Room on April 7. SI Sequim had five members attend: Megan O’Donnell, Marilyn Hooser, Kathy Purcell, Cindy Bidegary, and Colleen Blazier (pictured to the right). We were honored to have Soroptimist Northwestern Region Governor Linette Zimmerman, District 1 Director Sue Riney and District 1 Secretary Kathy Wagoner, as well as PA City Council Member Karen Rogers
and Laura O’Neal from Peninsula Dispute Resolution Center
(pictured below). 		 

        

 

 Each of these five speakers had something important to share and we
appreciate their insights. Here are only a few of them:

• Go after what you want; do it early.
• Take responsibility for your actions.
• Women are the heart of the home.
• Follow your passion.
• You will grow old when you lose your passion.
• Have fun.
• The average age of a Soroptimist is 57.
• When you are empowered, you’ll reach for your fullest potential.

Thanks to the PA Jet Set, Holly James and the other Area Reps who helped
organize the meeting. It was very interesting and informative.
