    • ON-LINE AUCTION NOW OPEN: The silent auction for this year's framed featured Garden Show artwork (Potting Table by Julie Peterson) has begun online and will end at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 18, 2012. To make a bid click here – and be sure to stop by the show to see the lovely framed artwork in person!

    • GARDEN SHOW FEATURED ARTIST: Julie Peterson, the featured artist for the 14th Annual SOROPTIMIST Gala Garden Show (March 17 -18, 2012) is featured in a YouTube video. Check it out here!

    • NEW BADGE - You will notice something new on the bottom of the left column. SI/Sequim contributed $1,000 to the Club Giving for 2011 - 2012. This new badge identifies our club as providing outstanding support for women both in our community and around the world.

    • NWCAT – January 9 – 15, 2012 – The 4th Annual Northwestern Conference Against Trafficking & Film Festival will be held January 915, 2012 in Portland, OR. For more information, visit: www.nwcat.org.
    • STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING The two Soroptimist clubs in Port Angeles are coordinating a silent vigil to increase awareness of Human Trafficking. The event is Wednesday, January 11, 2012, 11 a.m. to 2p.m. at the Liberty Bell in Port Angeles.

    • GIRLS CIRCLE – SI/Sequim partnered with SI/Port Angeles and SI/Port Angeles Jet Set to sponsor the first Girls Circle in Clallam County. On Thursday, December 15th, 2011 members of all three clubs attended the graduation of the first seven girls to complete the program. Although they have finished the training session, it is more of a beginning than a completion. The girls will now take what they learned and apply it to their day-to-day lives.

    • SEE’S CANDIES has moved and is now being sold at Artisan Creative Consignment. We had a very successful holiday season with See’s Candies. It has been publicized on KSQM and there is a reader board on the sidewalk near Tarcisio's Restaurant announcing that See’s is being sold at the Consignment Shop. We thank our loyal See’s customers. Remember, See’s Candies make a great Valentine’s Day gift.

    • NIGHT AT THE THEATRE – A great early gift for Valentine’s Day is tickets to the Spitfire Grill. This is our annual Night at the Theatre. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased through any member of SI of Sequim.

    • HOLIDAY JOY – This project is sponsored by Healthy Families of Clallam County to help needy families experience a happy holiday. Many members helped by being sponsors, donors and/or elves at Family Day. We thank all those who shared the Christmas spirit. Sharing the gift of love with others brought it right back to us.

    • LIVE YOUR DREAM ART CONTEST – Over 50 children from the Boys and Girls Club of the Olympic Peninsula became budding artists and provided artwork for the contest. Two drawings received equal votes by Board members. Milk and cookies were served in thanks to those who participated.

    • GARDEN SHOW – This year’s Adirondack chair has been revealed! The beautiful artwork was done by Chris Blendermann. The scene on the chair ties in very nicely with the featured artwork for the show, and both should generate a lot of interest. Check out the chair  at: http://www.sequimgardenshow.com/gsraffle.htm.

    • The Garden Show now has its own Facebook page. You are invited to check it out. While you are there be sure to Like us.

BELL RINGING – Last month members of SI of Sequim rang bells and sang Christmas songs in front of Safeway to support the Salvation Army. Some girls from the WIN Program joined us, as we shared the spirit of the season with the community.

    • Visit the WIN (Women in Networks) Program web site to see what great things the WIN Program is doing

    • NWCAT - Northwestern Coalition Against Trafficking: Conference - January 14 -16, 2011 in Portland, OR. Watch the video and learn more about the conference by visiting the NWCAT web site.
